The purpose of the PGY-2 ID Residency is to train PGY-1 trained pharmacists to be competent practitioners of Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy. It is designed to help them develop the clinical skills and knowledge base to function independently as an Infectious Diseases clinician in a variety of areas (General Infectious Diseases, HIV, Hepatology, Antibiotic Stewardship). In addition, the experiences are designed to give them the administrative and project management skills needed in these types of positions. Rotations include ID Consult Service, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Inpatient HIV, Microbiology and Outpatient HIV and Hepatology.
Pharm.D. degree from ACPE-accredited institution.
Eligible for licensure in Texas.
An accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
