Submission Guidelines

The Bernard and Audre Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice at the University of Texas School of Law welcomes unsolicited submissions for its Working Paper Series. Papers will be reviewed by an interdisciplinary faculty and student board and accepted on a rolling basis.

In accordance with our mission to build a multidisciplinary community engaged in the study and practice of human rights, we welcome students, faculty, and advocates to submit working papers that critically engage in the broad topic of international human rights law and discourse.

The RCWPS differs from most working paper series in that it is entirely online and in a blog-style format. This approach offers authors the ability to actively receive feedback and encourages readers to engage in debates surrounding human rights and social justice through posted comments. Please refer to the Comment Guidelines section to familiarize yourself with our comment approval process and our expectations for critical academic engagement with the working papers.

The Center does not take on editorial tasks, so all manuscripts must be ready for publication at the time of submission. Please ensure that the paper has been carefully proofread and cite-checked, and verify that footnotes are properly numbered and that cross-references are correct and updated.

Publication as a Rapoport Center Working Paper does not preclude or prejudice subsequent publication in a book or journal. We use a Creative Commons License Attribution Non-Commercial No Derivatives. In brief, text appearing here may be downloaded for personal research purposes only. Any additional reproduction for other purposes, whether in hard copy or electronically, requires the consent of the Rapoport Center Human Rights Working Paper Series and the author.
