Welcome to the official website of the Texas Law Student Bar Association! For news, updates, and event details, visit our Facebook page here.
The Texas Law Student Bar Association is the student government of the law school and acts as a liaison between the student body, the law school administration, the University, and the community-at-large. The SBA is governed by a Board of Governors, consisting of executive officers, representatives from each class year, an event coordinator, two ABA representatives, a State Bar representative, and a representative to the UT Senate of College Councils.
The SBA acts as a resource to the student body and aims to support students in their academic and professional development. The SBA coordinates locker sales and facilitates textbook exchanges. It also brings the law school community together at social events, including weekly “bar reviews,” an Ex Parte Halloween Party, and a Spring Barrister’s Ball. The SBA also hosts career and ethics panels, raises money for charitable organizations, organizes Texas Law Week, solicits applications to student-faculty committees, and so much more!
The SBA Board of Governors staffs the SBA office (TNH 2.127) each Monday through Thursday from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. Feel free to stop by the office anytime, or contact a Board representative.
