The University of Texas at Austin’s Center for Identity is looking for a student programmer and an animator to join its Games Team, on a part-time basis, to help create games tackling issues surrounding identity theft and protection. Along with the games team lead, the animator and programmer will help design and implement a small-scale game that will be hosted on the Center’s website.
An ideal animator for this position is strong in 2D animation, character design, and environmental art.
An ideal programmer is strong in object oriented programming, iterative software development, and at least one modern we-based game development framework.
Both positions are flexible with students’ workload and class schedules, and both positions are paid.
If you are passionate about making games, this is a great opportunity to take creative control of a full game from start to finish. You’ll have the chance to flex your game design chops, learn new skills from an educational game-making veteran, and get paid along the way.
