The ASPIRA Association has a paid position for a public policy Internship that has the potential for a full time position in the future. We are seeking a creative, highly motivated individual to assist in the following projects:
- Assist in the development of reports and Web Page updates.
- Attend and report on meetings related to public policy health and education issues of interest to ASPIRA and disseminate information to ASPIRA’s network
- Provide assistance with social media, including Facebook and Twitter
- Conduct research on potential partners for national health and education projects
Interest in public policy issues in youth development
Knowledge and interest in working with the Latino Community
Excellent communications skills, Spanish a plus
Good interpersonal skills – Able to work in cooperation with others and as well as independently
A minimum of 16 to 20 hours/week is required. The internship will begin as soon as a well-qualified person is identified
The ASPIRA Association is a 501C3 organization that is also a confederation of ASPIRA statewide organizations, incorporated in nine states and Puerto Rico. Founded in 1961y ASPIRA’s primary mission is to foster the socioeconomic development of the Latino community. ASPIRA’s goals focus on developing the education and leadership potential of Hispanic youth by encouraging them to be aware of the socioeconomic conditions, needs, and potential of their community.
