Virtual Social Club

In response to the uncertain times, we are faced with as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Veteran Spouse Network launched the Virtual Social Club program for those connected to the military and veteran population to come together and support one another. This series of online meet-ups provides participants with a space to share their fears and concerns, offer support and problem solve, learn new tips and tools, and create opportunities to connect and socialize.

We know that everything surrounding the pandemic has created fear, anxiety, and social isolation for many of us and that social connection and community is needed now more than ever. Our social clubs range from social coffee talks and topic-driven discussions on caring for ourselves during this time to workshops and guest speakers.

Eligibility for these sessions varies by event, but this program is geared towards those connected to the military and veteran population, to include military and veteran spouses, partners, caregivers, family members, and service members and veterans themselves, as well as individuals divorced or widowed from a service member or veteran.

This page will be updated with a calendar of our Virtual Social Club offerings as they are added. Spouses will need to register at the corresponding Eventbrite link to be sent the Zoom information that will allow them to join the call.

Resiliency Check-Ins

We’re Here to Listen

Resiliency Check-Ins provide participants with an opportunity to meet one-on-one with one of our active duty or veteran social work graduate students to discuss any topic, including building resilience as you cope with stress related to work, family, holidays, school, the current pandemic, and more. These check-ins are open to all service members, veterans, and their families. Each session will last 45 minutes.

To be eligible, you must be an active duty service member, a post-service veteran, or the spouse, partner, caregiver, or family member of an active duty service member or post-service veteran. Individuals widowed or divorced from an active duty service member or post-service veteran are also eligible to join.
