Claire is responsible for overseeing the HealthPoint Wellness Program. In this role, Claire promotes and removes barriers to existing programs and plans, develops, coordinates and evaluates new comprehensive, population-based work-life balance and wellness programs.  Based on health data from the University, she supports the implementation of wellness programs, practices and policies that enhance personal well-being, job satisfaction and recruitment and retention efforts.  By partnering with various campus organizations and departments, she provides leadership in creating a campus culture of wellness.

Prior to working at UT Austin, Claire most recently worked at the City of Austin where she was a Health and Human Services Program Coordinator managing the Business Group on Health for Austin employers and helped to facilitate the Mayor’s Fitness Council of which UT Austin is a member.   Prior to her work in Austin, Claire worked for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA.  Claire is an experienced world traveler and conducted field work in Botswana where she assessed the management and programmatic capacity of local HIV/AIDS organizations.  Claire holds her Masters of Public Health from Emory University and her Bachelors of Arts with a minor in Spanish from UCLA. She is a certified yoga instructor and enjoys staying active through swimming and running.
