Keep UT System Active

Congrats to everyone who completed the Keep UT Active challenge by earning 100+ points! Thanks for being part of the fun and showing the other institutions how healthy we are. 

Everyone who earned 100 points gets a gym towel and running belt! You can pick them up at the following locations through May 18.

    • The HealthPoint Wellness Headquarters on the 3rd floor of the UT Administration Building (UTA 3.408) starting on Monday 5/7 – Friday 5/18 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    • The HealthPoint Occupational Health Clinic in the Student Services Building (SSB 3.202) from 8 a.m. – noon or 1 – 5 p.m. starting on Monday 5/7 – Friday 5/18.

Keep UT System Active will allow each participant to draw on the excitement of learning about UT System Institutions by virtually visiting landmarks at each campus. Participants will virtually travel along the State of Texas as you practice healthy habits — with amazing images and vivid descriptions of UT Institution landmarks that make you feel as if you’re right there.

You’ll be teaming up with colleagues to compete against other UT System institutions for the coveted traveling trophy. As a bonus, you will virtually visit each UT Institutions without having to board a plane or get in a car! While doing so, you will keep up your healthy habits throughout the four-week challenge to earn your Living Well rewards: a gym towel and a running belt. View promo video at

Who is eligible to participate? All UT System employees, retirees, spouses, and dependents age 18 and above who are covered by the UT SELECT Medical Plan.

What is the goal? Your goal is to earn 100 points, aiming for 25 points a week by recording physical activity, glasses of water, and sleep.*

Work together with your colleagues to win the coveted Traveling Trophy for your institution and earn two great individual rewards for completing the challenge: A Living Well Running Belt and a Gym Towel. Just log your activity and earn at least 100 point during the 28-day virtual challenge.

Schedule of events!**


  • The weeks of March 19 and 26, everyone who has registered for the challenge will be entered into a prize drawing for a Fitbit Flex 2.
  • Each week of the challenge, everyone who earns 25 points that week will be entered into a prize drawing.
  • Everyone who earns 100 points will get a sticker for their Passport to Health, gym towel and running belt and be entered into a prize drawing for a Longhorn tailgating prize pack and Echo Spot

**By attending HealthPoint Wellness events, you agree to give The University of Texas at Austin, its representatives and employees, the absolute right and permission to publish and use pictures of yourself taken at the event.

***Prize drawings are open to UT Austin employees only. The value of the prize will be included in the recipient’s taxable income. Prize winners agree to have their name featured in HealthPoint communications (website, newsletter, emails, etc.).

Participation HealthPoint work-life balance and wellness activities is completely voluntary. Parking fees are not included for HealthPoint activities. HealthPoint values and respects employees’ privacy. You may be asked about your current health status and daily activities as part of the registration process, program and evaluation. This information is protected and kept confidential, where applicable, according to the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) regulations. Your information may be shared with providers of the UT SELECT health insurance plan (e.g., Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, Express Scripts, etc.) in order to enhance care and inform you about relevant program benefits (i.e., condition management). If you agree to the Authorization to Disclose Protected Health Information, the HealthPoint Wellness Program will receive your name and number of points and the information you log (steps or minutes of physical activity, water consumption and sleep). The purpose of this is to determine eligibility for prize drawings and rewards. If you do not agree to this authorization, no individual information is shared with UT Austin. The UT Austin HealthPoint Wellness Program receives an aggregate, de-identified report for program planning and trending purposes.
