On March 3rd, Dana Cook was named AVP of the Administrative Systems Modernization Program, overseeing the Workday Implementation Project. Dana began her new position effective Monday, March 6, and has been in charge of leading the program through reset and re-planning activities based on recommendations from KPMG’s Independent Verification and Validation study, as well as through the development and full implementation of our Workday products.
As expected, the recommendation to delay or decouple the project will require the collaborative development of a new timeline and consideration of go live criteria. Dana has experience leading a wide variety of enterprise programs and projects including the Human Resource Management System (HRMS) and the University Portal. Over Dana’s career, she has demonstrated the ability to solve diverse and long-reaching problems in both distributed and central IT organizations and has broad experience in the areas of organizational and business alignment.
With support from the University’s Sr. VP & Chief Financial Officer, Darrell Bazzell, Dana has the right skills and experience to lead the Workday project through this vital stage and beyond to a successful go live.
