End User Testing for Workday’s Human Capital Management will begin in April and will be the first time many colleges, schools, and units (CSUs) will be getting hands-on experience with the Workday system.
End User Testing not only ensures that the system is working properly, it is also designed to ensure that users, called Super Users, are confident in their ability to perform their daily tasks in Workday and can in turn explain the system to other users in their unit.
Each CSU business officer will designate Super Users for their unit. Super Users will have in-depth institutional knowledge of their CSU’s business and knowledge of human resource processing. Super Users will also aid their individual CSUs with local-level support during training and after Workday go live.
When End User testing begins this spring, End Users will go through an orientation, be given access to a Workday environment, and will begin scripted testing of the system. Once scripted testing is complete, Super Users will be able to test their own CSU-specific test cases and will retain access to an environment to do their own testing leading up to training.
End User Training is slated to start in August. By the time training begins, Super Users should have enough in-depth experience with the Workday system to be local experts for their units.
