A Month After Go Live, Campus is Adapting to the New System; Taking Advantage of Support
A little over one month after UT Austin went like with Workday, and users are taking great advantage of support and gaining familiarity with the system.
Since we went live, the Workday Help Desk has resolved over 2,000 help tickets. Additionally, our “Surge” support team who are embedded with college, schools, and units have fielded over 800 questions. Below are a few system statistics for the month of November:
- 15,866 log on sessions from a smart phone
- 22,517 unique users have logged on
- Over 263,000 business processes have been initiated
- 87,373 employee self-service business processes have been initiated
Workday release notes are going out daily and training and guidance continues to be improved based on user feedback. Open Labs continue and new info sessions are planned to help users through upcoming peak work periods.
If you need help, please contact the Workday Help Desk. Your questions help the Workday Program improve guidance and assist other users.
Recruiters: Changes to Job Requisition Process to Allow for Control of Order of Job Duties in the Job Description
The Job Requisition process has been updated so that the Responsibilities field will not pull in separately on the job posting. Instead, Recruiters will need to cut and paste the job responsibilities into the Responsibilities section of the Job Description template without percentages. This will allow Recruiters to control the order of job responsibilities on the job posting. Responsibilities with percentages will still be required on the Qualifications page to allow for approvers to do a full review and for use in performance appraisal functionality.
This change was implemented in order for Recruiters to have control over the order in which responsibilities display in the posting. The program is working directly with Workday on enhancing the Responsibilities field so that, when included on the job posting, the Responsibilities do not display in a random order.
The following guidance and training has been updated to reflect the new process.
- Create Job Requisition and Post Job
- Edit Job Requisition
- Recruiting from Evergreen Requisitions
