Electronic W-2s Available in Workday; W-2 FAQs
Electronic W-2s are now available for download out of Workday. Payroll Services sent an alert to all employees on Jan. 28 with instructions. For more information and answers to common questions related to W-2s, visit: workday.utexas.edu/taxforms
E-Verify Resumes Operations; Complete E-Verify Checks by Feb. 11
E-Verify has resumed operations during the temporary re-opening of the federal government. Human Resources sent I-9 Partners guidance on how to “retry” the E-Verify step in Workday. When you hit the “Retry” button, it will generate a case to E-Verify. The case will come to your Inbox and once that case is verified it will automatically remove from the I-9 Partner inbox. The case requires no action on the part of the I-9 Partner. However, you should check your Inbox task to see if it asks you to confirm the information submitted. If so, please follow the instructions included in the Inbox task.
Please note that E-Verify checks should be completed by Feb. 11.
Reminder: Workday Close Job Requisition Similar to HRMS Cancel Posting Action
The Close Job Requisition action found off of the related action of a job requisition is similar to the cancel posting and delete JZ8 document in HRMS in that this Workday action will completely close the requisition prohibiting recruiters from taking any further action on it. This will also remove your ability to access the candidate pool. If you need to unpost a job, reference the Unpost Jobs Workday Instructional Guide.
Cost Center Manager Special Edition Newsletter and Virtual Lab
A Special Edition Newsletter was released this week to Cost Center Managers with updates on guidance and best practices. For more information and additional help, Cost Center Managers can attend a Virtual Lab on Thursday, Jan. 31, at 2 PM using Zoom link https://utexas.zoom.us/j/902879855. This Virtual Lab will focus on interpreting the All Positions Costing Allocations report (RPT033) data and how it can be used to identify and resolve funding gaps prior to payroll runs.
No Virtual Lab This Friday
There will be no Virtual Lab this Friday. Virtual Lab Friday will commence again next week. Weekly topics will be published in the weekly Workday@UT Newsletter.
