Beth Hutton brings 25 years of experience in mental health to her role as the Senior Program Coordinator for the Texas Institute for Excellence in Mental Health. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor and has an undergraduate degree in Social Work.  Over the course of her career she has specialized in the areas of low-income youth and families; adolescent substance use (prevention, intervention and treatment); childhood abuse and neglect; trauma-focused treatment; and agency collaboration.

In her work for the State Youth Treatment Planning Project, she is interested in engaging stakeholders in order to identify gaps in services, develop statewide legislation and policies, increase community support systems and create high-quality substance use and behavioral health services for the youth of Texas.
