You need to see Vaudeville!, the Harry Ransom Center’s latest and greatest exhibition about America’s most popular entertainment for over a century. Featuring documents, photographs, and artifacts from the Center’s extensive holdings of Harry Houdini, Tony Pastor, and Florenz Ziegfeld, among others, the exhibition shows the development of vaudeville’s highly organized form and its long-lasting impact on contemporary film, television, and comedy. The all-star bill for this exhibition includes artifacts from some of Vaudeville’s best-known performers—Harry Houdini, Mae West, W. C. Fields, Bert Williams, PT Barnum and more. Listen to the only know recording of Houdini’s voice and other audio clips on your own cell phone. Open every day of the week and late on Thursdays, with free admission and docent-led tours every day at noon.

Offering tours every day at noon and a second one at 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
