New Financial Aid Website and the FAFSA

Dear Colleagues,

We are writing to invite you to visit our newly redesigned Financial Aid website! This refresh will make it easier for students and their families to get the information they need to better understand affordability at The University of Texas at Austin.

Students can visit this new website to learn more about applying for financial aid. The 2019—20 Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, can be completed online (fafsa.gov) or on the new myStudentAid mobile app, available on both Apple and Android devices. At UT, about 55% of our students receive some kind of financial aid. To be considered for the widest range of financial aid and scholarships, UT applicants should submit their FAFSA with UT listed as a school choice (school code 003658) no later than January 15, 2019. The FAFSA is required for students to receive the recently announced Texas Advance Commitment funding, as well as grants, loans, and need-based scholarships.

To help you promote the FAFSA in your school so more students will apply early, we have put together a toolkit of promotional resources, including social media graphics and a printable flyer. Thank you again for the assistance you provide your students with an interest in becoming part of our vibrant Longhorn community. Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions you may have about our programs.
