Update about Fall 2019 Admission Decisions and Deadlines

Dear Colleagues,

I’m writing to update you on the fall 2019 freshman admissions cycle.

As part of our admissions process we will begin sending out automatic admission notifications this Thursday, November 1, to Texas students who have completed their application for admission and who qualify for fall 2019 automatic admission (in the top 6% of their Texas high school graduating class). Students will be notified of these admission decisions online through MyStatus after 5 p.m., and they will receive an admit packet through the mail shortly after November 1. Going forward, students who have submitted all required application materials and meet the automatic admission criteria will receive these notices on a rolling basis.

Automatically admitted students will be able to apply for housing and also accept their admission as soon as they are notified. (Last year they had to wait until they learned of their admission to a major to accept admission.)

November 1 is also our priority and honors deadline for applications and December 1 is the regular deadline for applications for admission. We also want to remind you that November 1 is the deadline for students to apply for the Forty Acres Scholarship offered through the Texas Exes. This is a four year full-ride scholarship, and we encourage all your students to apply.

Thank you for your partnership. We appreciate your collaboration as we work together to enroll an outstanding class of future Longhorns! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hook ’em!
