ALDPES NEWSLETTER

Wednesday, April 12th, 2017

Alpha Lambda Delta | Phi Eta Sigma

The University of Texas at Austin Chapter

Hey ALDPES-ers,

Do you love ALDPES? Are you looking to gain some experience as an officer? Then we would love to have you apply to be a general officer for next year! We have 14 positions open, so please apply if you’re interested. More details are included below!

Also don’t forget about our Profit Share with Chipotle next Friday and Banquet on May 5th! (More details below)

Our penultimate meeting will be next Wednesday, April 19th in WEL 3.502 from 6:00 – 7:00PM. See you then!

Best,

Alan Stepchinski

Alpha Lambda Delta Secretary

Fun Fact of the Week:

It used to be quite common for the Secretary of State to become President. In fact, there have been six presidents who first served as Secretary of State. If you are interested in becoming a future President of ALDPES, this may be a trend you want to consider.

Upcoming Guest Speakers

Further in the future – Therapy Dogs next week and hopefully Beauties and the Beat (featuring our very own Heather Grosenbacher)!!!

Guests of Speakers Past

April 5th – GMT and Princeton Review

Global Medical Training is an organization with UT that takes medical donations and prepares students to provide healthcare in other countries. If you are interested in finding out more about them, visit their website here!

Also, if you are planning to go to school after undergrad (grad school, med school, law school, etc.) and you want some extra help preparing for tests, check out the Princeton Review here!

March 22nd – UT Magic Club

UT Magic Club was AMAZING and I’m sorry if you had to miss out on this. If you would like to know more about the club, check out their website here. Hopefully we can get them to come again next semester!

Chipotle Profit Share

On Friday April 21 from 5-9 pm we’ll be having a Profit Share at Chipotle!!!!!! Chipotle is giving us 50% (you read that right!) of whatever we buy so make sure to put this in your calendar! Get a point by taking a picture of you and your food, an additional point by wearing your ALDPES shirt, make some money, and eat some food amongst fellow ALDPES-ers! Invite everyone you know because this is the big one that you won’t want to miss!

As stated above, we will have current officers at Chipotle for a few hours if you have any last-minute questions about the general officer positions.
