Hey ALDPES-ers,

Would you like to get HALF your required points at one event?? Then come volunteer at Honors Day on Saturday April 8th and get 4 or 5 points! (details and signup below)

If you missed induction and would like to pick up your certificate or pins, come by any of our office hours! We have ALD certificates for any members who joined before March 10th. If you joined after March 10th or would like your PES certificate, we will let you know when those are available.

Our penultimate meeting will be two weeks from today, Wednesday April 19th in WEL 3.502 from 6:00 – 7:00PM. See you then!

Best,

Alan Stepchinski

Alpha Lambda Delta Secretary

Fun Fact of the Week:

Let’s say that your roommate Chandler hides your underwear for some unknown reason. How should you get back at them? Well, if you want to annoy them, just do the opposite and put on all of their clothes!

Upcoming Guest Speakers

Further in the future – Hopefully Beauties and the Beat (featuring our very own Heather Grosenbacher) and Therapy Dogs!!!

Guests of Speakers Past

April 5th – GMT and Princeton Review

Also, if you are planning to go to school after undergrad (grad school, med school, law school, etc.) and you want some extra help preparing for tests, check out the Princeton Review here!

March 22nd – UT Magic Club

UT Magic Club was AMAZING and I’m sorry if you had to miss out on this. If you would like to know more about the club, check out their website here. Hopefully we can get them to come again next semester!

Seton Hospital Internship

If you are interested in a full time internship (unpaid…sorry!) at a Seton Hospital this summer that would consist of working with hospital volunteers (great for people interested in community outreach/people management or anyone just looking to get a foot in the door in the medical field), send me an email at luketerry@utexas.edu.

Chipotle Profit Share

On Friday April 21 from 5-9 pm we’ll be having a Profit Share at Chipotle!!!!!! Chipotle is giving us 50% (you read that right!) of whatever we buy so make sure to put this in your calendar! Get a point (or two), make some money, and eat some food amongst fellow ALDPES-ers and the like! Invite everyone you know because this is the big one that you won’t want to miss!

Points

Points are here! Please email the account (utaldpes@gmail.com) if you have any questions or concerns.

New members: You may not see your name on the list yet, but be patient. We add names to the sheet once you have earned a point by going to an event. It may take us a few days to update the points sheet after meetings/events.

Other local scholarships will be out soon!

Other Things

UTALDPES Follow Train

If you follow @UTALDPES on Twitter you can earn a half point. And you can also earn a half point for following utaldpes on Instagram. For those who struggle with math, that means you can earn 1 point for following both! (Points will be awarded the last week of class.)

Note: small and medium shirts are now sold out. Buy one red shirt for $10! Come by any office hours to purchase shirts. (Remember cash can only be accepted at the Treasurer’s office hours though!)
