Research Opportunity: TX Sprouts

This NIH funded study, called TX Sprouts, is a randomized controlled trial to test the effects of a 1-year gardening, nutrition, and cooking on obesity and related metabolic disorders in low-income, primarily Hispanic elementary children in 16 different elementary schools across the Austin area. We need phlebotomists and/or nurses to help us collect blood draws at the schools before and after the intervention. Specifically, we need phlebotomists/nurses to help us with blood draws starting Monday-Saturday, from 6:30-8 am, starting March 19th-May 4th. We will pay competitive hourly rates + travel time and reimbursement.

Please contact Erfan Khazaee at ekhazaee@utmail.utexas.edu ASAP if you are interested.

This study is through the Department of Nutritional Sciences
