The workshop is designed to introduce attendees to various aspects of intervention development with a particular focus on health-behavior self-management in chronic conditions. Topics include foundational work, different approaches to delivering interventions, sample size/power analysis, feasibility testing, efficacy and effectiveness testing, intervention fidelity, and different mechanisms for collecting data. The target audience is novice researchers who want to learn how to develop interventions or more experienced researchers who want to include health-behavior approaches in their studies.
