Christine is master’s student in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin and works in the Burgermaster lab. Christine is interested in associations between nutrition and mental health and how we can use technology to assess, monitor, and intervene on dietary choices and other health behaviors to improve outcomes for individuals with different mental health conditions. Christine is also interested in applying epidemiologic methods to understanding the prevalence and risk factors for eating disorders in different populations. Christine previously earned a doctoral degree in mental health epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in medical informatics at the Yale School of Medicine and the US Department of Veterans Affairs. Christine continues to work part-time as a statistician for the Department of Veterans Affairs and is passionate about teaching research methods and statistics at the undergraduate and graduate level. Christine also loves long-distance running and spends most of her free time on the track and running trails throughout Austin.
