Erin is a PhD candidate in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin. She gets to work in both the Burgermaster lab and Davis lab. Erin is most interested in researching nutrition and health behavior and finding ways to leverage technology to influence behavior change, particularly as it relates to chronic diseases like obesity and diabetes. Erin took a circuitous route to the doctoral program and first got her JD from Baylor University and practiced law across Texas for almost 15 years. Erin spends her free time playing outside–running, biking, hiking, or just reading a book. She is still trying to figure out what she wants to be when she grows up but feels confident that her career path sits at the intersection of nutrition, behavior, and technology.
