The Economics of Scaling Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage

Joseph is a fifth year Ph.D. student in the Department of Economics at UT Austin. His research focuses on applying game theory and microeconomic theory to topics in environmental economics, particularly carbon policy. He is a graduate research assistant working with Dr. Andrew Waxman and Dr. Sheila Olmstead on analyzing the effects a sequestration subsidy has on emissions, output, and welfare compared to alternative carbon policy instruments. He earned a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.A. in Economics with Departmental Honors at UT Austin.
