St. David’s Center for Health Promotion & Disease Prevention Research in Underserved Populations included a Community Agency Survey in the 2012 and 2013 Annual Conferences’ portfolio materials given to the attendees. The purpose of the survey was to ascertain which individuals and agencies were interested in forming relationships with The University of Texas at Austin’s health promotion research community involved in research serving underserved groups.
This information is available to researchers in the UT Austin community who are seeking to locate partners in agencies or to carry out pilot studies related to underserved groups in the Austin community agencies. Their names, agencies, and contact information are kept in the St. David’s CHPR office.
Following are the areas of interest:
- Serve on a community advisory panel to St. David’s CHPR
- Be a contact person for researchers considering a pilot study at your agency
- Partner with St. David’s CHPR researchers in planning community research
- Attend a summer institute on health research for underserved communities
Should you wish to contact an individual who indicated their willingness to be involved in these endeavors, please contact St. David’s CHPR.
