Undergraduate Research Assistant
Khushi is a fourth-year Neuroscience major at the University of Texas at Austin and is excited to be a part of the NeuroTap Lab! She is interested in understanding behavioral and mood disorders in underserved communities and researching education and learning processes. She aims to pursue an M.D. and hopes to work in both clinical and academic settings.

Shreya is a fourth-year Public Health major at the University of Texas at Austin and is thrilled to be working in the NeuroTaP lab! She is interested in understanding the effects of childhood trauma on the course of PTSD and its psychopathology in adolescents. She plans on pursuing an M.D. following her undergraduate career and hopes to work as a physician in Pediatrics!

Macy is a fourth-year neuroscience major at The University of Texas at Austin. She is excited to be a part of the NeuroTap lab alongside Lily Wang. She is interested in how genetic and environmental factors, especially those related to the cannabinoid system, may be related to the development of schizophrenia. Outside of the lab, Macy enjoys crocheting and spending time with her 19-year-old poodle, Marvin. She plans on pursuing her doctorate in veterinary medicine and working in a specialty or research environment.

Mehr is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing a degree in Public Health and a minor in Business. She is thrilled to be part of the NeuroTap lab and is specifically interested in the neurocircuitry of adolescents with assault-related trauma. She aims to become a physician and continue involvement in medical research in the long term.

Puneet is a third-year Biology major at UT Austin with a minor in Statistics and Data Science and is excited to be a part of the NeuroTap Lab! He is intrigued by the role of exercise and how it plays a role in trauma-related neural networks and affects other cognitive processes. After finishing his undergraduate degree he aspires to obtain an MD. and hopes to work in a clinical and academic setting.

Lily is a third-year student at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She is excited to be a part of the NeuroTaP lab alongside Macy Sloan. She is interested in how people form, modify, and forget memories as well as the role of non-pharmacological treatments in the progression of neurodegenerative diseases. Lily plans to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology and work as a neuropsychologist in academia.

Medha is a third-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Neuroscience with a certificate in Spanish for Medical Professions. She is interested in studying the impact of prolonged hormone exposure on PTSD symptoms, brain structure, and function as a part of the team at the NeuroTap lab. In the future, she plans to pursue an MD/PhD and continue female neuroscience research.

Neha is a second-year Psychology major at The University of Texas at Austin and is thrilled to be part of the NeuroTaP lab. She is particularly interested in the connection between post-traumatic stress disorder and panic disorders, with a focus on women who face these challenges. She is also on the pre-medicine track and plans to pursue an MD/PhD.

Emma is a third-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, a Bachelor of Science in Biophysics, and a Certificate in Core Texts and Ideas. She is specifically interested in the neurocircuitry of trauma and larger-scale neuro networks but is also eager to learn more about different neuroscience research techniques and methodologies. She loves anything to do with the brain and is excited about participating in the NeuroTap Lab! After she graduates from UT, Emma plans on pursuing a PhD in cognitive neuroscience and continuing to do neuroscience research.

Thomas is a third-year Neuroscience major with a minor in Informatics at the University of Texas at Austin. He is beyond excited to be a part of the team at the NeuroTap Lab, drawn by its mission and values. He is interested in the complex interactions between neurocircuitry, psychological processes, and behavior. In the future, he aims to pursue an M.D.

Mylene is a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Minor in Sociology, and a Certificate in Forensics Science. She is excited to be a part of the NeuroTap Lab. She is most interested in the neurocircuitry of psychological disorders and obtaining further insight into the methodologies of parts of the brain that focus on the behavioral bearings of a person. After graduating, she plans to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology and work as a Forensic Psychologist!

Chrislyn is a second-year undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Society, and a minor in Philosophy. She is specifically interested in the effects of trauma on the course of neurodegenerative disorders in early childhood and the elderly population. She looks forward to being a part of the NeuroTap Lab and learning about specific research techniques. In the future, Chrislyn plans on pursuing an MD and working with children!

MacLean is a second-year student at UT pursuing a major in Neuroscience and Certificates in Business of Healthcare and Scientific Computation and Data Sciences. He is interested in exploring large-scale neurocircuitry and the neurophysiology underlying PTSD and hopes to pursue an M.D.
