Professor Rodin earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1986. He joined the University of Texas at Austin as an Assistant Professor in September 1986. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 1992 and to Professor in 1999.
Dr. Rodin’s research focuses on the modeling of materials on the basis of their microstructures. He has served on the Cockrell School of Engineering faculty since 1986. He has one year of industrial experience and has published numerous technical articles and reports.
