Briefly, the Faculty Development Leave (FDL) is a competitive application process for a research leave and the Faculty Development Award (FDA) is a competitive application for professional-track faculty to receive professional development funding or summer research salary. This is a popular, two-part workshop designed to equip individuals to be allies of LGBTQIA+ people. Allyship is practiced both by people who don’t identify as LGBTQIA+ and by LGBTQIA+ people who advocate across communities. People of all identities are invited and encouraged to attend workshops.
