Gayle Kaufman is a Professor of Sociology and Gender and Sexuality Studies at Davidson College. Her research examines aspects of modern marriage, parenting, and family, with a particular focus on fathers. She is author of Superdads: How Fathers Balance Work and Family in the 21st Century. She was a Fulbright Scholar at Leicester University and has been a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge and Umeå University. She earned her B.S. and M.S. at Cornell University and her Ph.D. at Brown University.
