Curriculum

We’re excited to welcome you to this innovative project, “Interprofessional Curriculum Approach to Alzheimer’s and Other Dementias”. Our goal is to equip the next generation of health care providers with skills to address Alzheimer’s and other dementias through facilitator guides, videos and classroom activities for health care students. The curriculum was piloted at The University of Texas at Austin in Spring 2025 with 58 undergraduate and graduate students across diverse health care programs.

We are looking for Champions to partner with us! If you are a UT faculty member interested in using this curriculum as a part of your coursework in Spring 2026, Summer 2026 or Fall 2026, please reach out to me at alyssa.aguirre@austin.utexas.edu.

This $1.1 Million grant, which has been funded over 3 years, is led by Alyssa Aguirre (Dell Medical School) and Jung Kwak (School of Nursing). The project is a comprehensive, innovative curriculum development project focused on promoting and enhancing interprofessional education (IPE) in dementia care.
