A humanitarian crisis continues to unfold in Texas and across the country during the COVID-19 pandemic. Millions of workers have lost their income and are unable to pay their rent or mortgages. Without improved government intervention, many Texans will ultimately lose their homes.

April 20th: According to a scorecard released by the Eviction Lab, the State of Texas’ eviction policy responses score very poorly. “Without further action and supportive measures, Texas could see a surge of evictions immediately following the pandemic.”
