About PeriPAN Direct

PeriPAN Direct

What Is PeriPAN Direct?

PeriPAN now offers perinatal patients free, one-time consultations with a PeriPAN reproductive psychiatrist!

By tapping into the expertise of PeriPAN psychiatrists, health care providers can receive valuable guidance that enables them to better assess complex cases and optimize treatment plans for the ongoing care of perinatal patients.

Requirements to use PeriPAN Direct
:

  • The patient is not experiencing a mental health emergency (threatening harm to self or others).

  • The patient gives written consent to participate in a one-on-one consultation.

  • The perinatal health clinician expects to remain the patient’s primary mental health provider.

How To Access PeriPAN Direct

— Call Dell Medical School PeriPAN at 888-901-2726, option 3, option 1.

— Request to speak with a PeriPAN reproductive psychiatrist.

— Receive a callback from a psychiatrist within 30 minutes.

During the provider consultation, the PeriPAN psychiatrist will determine if the patient is a good fit for PeriPAN Direct. If a Direct patient consultation is appropriate, the psychiatrist will request the patient’s contact information.

Once the patient consultation has been completed, PeriPAN will schedule a follow-up consultation with the provider to review recommendations.

Direct consultations are evaluations meant to help with diagnostic clarification and to give recommendations that providers can incorporate into their care.

After the one-time patient consultation, the primary care provider is expected to continue the patient’s mental health care. If a psychiatric provider is recommended, PeriPAN will provide referrals.
