CPAN/PeriPAN 2024 Update: PeriPAN Direct

PeriPAN Direct

What is PeriPAN Direct?

PeriPAN now offers free, one-time consultations with a PeriPAN Reproductive Psychiatrist.

By tapping into the expertise of PeriPAN psychiatrists, healthcare providers can receive valuable guidance and insights, enabling them to comprehensively assess and better understand complex cases, thus refining and optimizing their treatment plans for perinatal patients.

Requirements to use PeriPAN Direct

  • The patient is not experiencing a mental health emergency (threatening harm to self or others).

  • The patient gives written consent to participate in 1:1 consultation.

  • The perinatal health clinician expects to remain the primary mental health provider.

How to access PeriPAN Direct

Call Dell Medical School PeriPAN at 888-901-2726 (option 3, then option 1).

Request to speak with a PeriPAN psychiatrist.

Receive a call back from a PeriPAN psychiatrist within 30 minutes.

During this consultation, the PeriPAN psychiatrist will determine if the patient is a good fit for a PeriPAN Direct consultation. If a direct consultation is needed, the psychiatrist will request the patient’s contact information to move forward with the consultation.

Once the evaluation has been completed by a reproductive psychiatrist, PeriPAN will schedule a follow-up consultation call with you to review the recommendations.

These direct consultations are evaluations meant to help with diagnostic clarification and recommendations to incorporate into your care.

After this one-time consultation, the perinatal provider is expected to continue the patient’s mental health care. If a psychiatric provider is recommended, PeriPAN will provide referrals.

If you experience any problems, please let us know right away by phone or email: cpan.direct@ascension.org. Your feedback will be crucial as we continue to refine and streamline our processes.

Call now for free access to real-time consultations, personalized referrals, and valuable resources. No call is too small!
