What are Continuing Medical Education opportunities?

Continuing Medical Education, or CME, opportunities are educational activities that develop, maintain or increase providers’ knowledge, skills, professional performance and relationships to best serve their patients.

A CME opportunity has been approved for CME credits, which are required annually by some states to maintain a medical license. Also, most hospitals require physicians to have a specific number of credits to maintain their credentials and see patients. CME credits are authorized by the American Medical Association’s Physician’s Recognition Award.

Note: Past presentations are not eligible for CME credits.
