Bio: 

Dr. Joel Dvoskin is the former Acting Commissioner of Mental Health for the State of New York, and the former Chairman of the Nevada Governor’s Advisory Council on Behavioral Health. He has been President of two divisions of the American Psychological Association: Psychologists in Public Service and The American Psychology-Law Society.  He provides consultation services to Mental Health, Criminal Justice, and Law Enforcement Agencies across the US, as well as corporations, educational institutions, other organizations wishing to assess and reduce the risk of interpersonal violence and suicide. As a forensic psychologist, he has provided expert testimony and trial consultation across the country, and teaches on the faculty at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.
