Travel: “Understanding Borders, Security and Identity”-UT Study Abroad (Frankfurt, Germany)

Deadline for Applications: Ongoing-Contact the Study Abroad Office

UT Study Abroad, in collaboration with Europa Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany, is very happy to announce this year’s Summer Exchange Program which takes place at the Viadrina from June 1st to July 15th, 2016.

The program – titled “Understanding Borders, Security and Identity” –  is designed for undergraduate students from the disciplines of European Studies, International Relations & Global Studies, History, Social Studies, Cultural Studies, Business Administration, and Economics.

Of particular note, in addition to other outstanding faculty from Europe, UT’s own Dr. Michael Mosser will be teaching his two courses as part of the program: European Environmental Politics (EUS 348/GOV 365N) and Comprehensive Notion of European Security (EUS 348/GOV 365N). Students interested in his courses will be able to learn about these topics while immersed in the specific context of the European Union, on the border of East/West Europe, an hour away from Berlin.

Because it is an exchange program, all financial aid can be applied (including Hinson-Hazlewood and Texas Tomorrow Fund) to the cost of the program! For more information, including credit, sample budget, housing information, and application instructions, please look on the program page on our website.

Interested students should set up a meeting with the program coordinator, Daniel Ach, through the Study Abroad website appointment page.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and kindly forward to any students or parties who may be interested!
