Funding Opportunity: Wadsworth International Fellowships (Wenner-Gren Foundation)

Deadline for Applications: March 01, 2016

Title: Wadsworth International Fellowships
Sponsor: Wenner-Gren Foundation
Amount: $17,500

Description: The Wadsworth International Fellowships are intended to provide support for students undertaking study leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree at universities where they can receive international-level training in anthropology. These fellowships are available only to students from countries where anthropology is underrepresented and where there are limited resources to send students overseas for training. The Wadsworth program’s main goal is to expand and strengthen international ties and enhance anthropological infrastructure in these countries. Because of this, priority is given to applicants who have not already begun graduate training abroad, and who are likely to return to an academic position in their home country upon completion of their degree. The purpose of the Wadsworth International Fellowship is to offer support for students who are in the early stages of their doctoral programs.

How to Apply: Apply directly to the sponsor by March 1. See the grant announcement for a complete list of materials to be submitted with the application.
