Internship: Student Trainee (Junior Economist) (Boston, MA)

Salary Range: $31,624.00 to $41,111.00 / Per Year

This is a temporary student internship appointment, not to exceed six (6) months.

This position is located in the U. S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Boston/New York Region, Boston, MA. Under the direction of a professional staff member, the incumbent is responsible for providing Para technical assistance in the Federal/State Statistical Programs. The junior economist trainee works under senior staff in economic data collection and technical support work within the occupational safety and health statistics branch.

  • Must have a major in Economics
  • Requires a background investigation (security clearance)
  • Serves a trial period throughout duration of appointment
  • US Citizen to be converted to a permanent position after Program completion
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
