HSE Centre of Russian as a Foreign Language
The Russian federal government has selected The Higher School of Economics as a recipient for vastly increased funding to cover student scholarships and heavily subsidized housing for foreign students to study at HSE for summers, semesters, full-year intensive language preparation, or even full-length MA programs (17 in English).
HSE is one of the top universities in Russia and the leader in Eastern Europe and Eurasia in economics and social sciences. Students come from all over the world to study in English or Russian in Bachelor’s, Master’s, and non-degree programs.
The Centre for Russian as a Foreign Language offers language instruction courses at all levels, along with a wide selection of electives, in eight-week long modules. Specialized intensive programs are also offered: the six-month Foundation Course prepares international students to study in Russian-taught full-degree programs and the 10-week Intensive Summer Language School helps intermediate and advanced speakers to strengthen their command of the language.

International Summer University at HSE
Open to students at all levels from all academic fields, Summer University offers a broad interdisciplinary selection of English-taught courses in areas including history, politics, economics, culture, and computer science. Students can elect to take Russian language lessons as part of their studies and have the opportunity to spend one week at HSE’s St. Petersburg campus.

Summer in Moscow Program
The HSE invites international students who are currently enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs in their home universities to take part in its Semester in Moscow program. Students will have the opportunity to create their own curriculum drawn from a wide array of courses offered by the National Research University – Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Russia.

HSE’s Preparatory Year prepares students who have little or no knowledge of Russian language with the necessary skills to enter into Russian-taught Bachelor’s and Master’s programs. Students choose a specific track depending on the field they intend to pursue a degree in:

- Social Sciences and Humanities (Russian language, English language, History, Social Studies)
- Technical Sciences (Russian language, English language, Mathematics, Physics/Computer Science)

Semester in St. Petersburg
Spend a semester abroad in Russia’s northern capital and take English- or Russian-taught courses at HSE-St. Petersburg. Students can also take courses from Informal Russia, an inter-department cross-cultural program devoted to contemporary Russia, including topics from political development and business communication to youth culture and social entrepreneurship.

The Gender and Sexuality Center is seeking a reliable, dedicated self-starter to work our office. The mission of the Gender and Sexuality Center is to provide opportunities for all members of the UT Austin community to explore, organize, and promote learning around issues of gender and sexuality. The center also facilitates a greater responsiveness to the needs of women and the LGBTQ communities through education, outreach and advocacy.
The GSC also provides assistance to students achieving their professional, educational, and personal goals.
GSC staff must be able to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Ideal candidates will have a commitment to actively creating a welcoming environment for all women and LGBT students, including, but not limited to women and LGBT students who face additional challenges due to their race, nationality, gender identity and expression, class, sexual identity, religion, age, and physical or mental ability.

Indiana University Summer Language Workshop
IU’s SWEEEL takes place on the Bloomington campus for intensive study of Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, Hungarian, Persian, Russian, Turkish, Turkmen, and Ukrainian.
- All students pay in-state tuition and earn 6-10 transferable credits
- Classes will be held June 8 – July 1, 2015
- 4- and 5-week options are available for Russian (ending on July 2)
- Applications will be accepted until May 1, 2015.
