Wayne State University seeks to increase faculty who study the African Diaspora and the Department of Classical and Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures specifically looks for a candidate whose research covers Black Central and Eastern Europe. The candidate would teach language classes (Russian and/or Polish or a different Slavic language) and content classes about their research area in both Slavic Studies and Global Studies. The research could involve race and ethnicity in Central/Eastern Europe/Russia, migration to Eastern Europe/Russia, the African diaspora in Central/Eastern Europe and/or Russia, literature by multicultural authors from Central /Eastern Europe/Russia etc. The position is on the tenure-track and located in Detroit, MI.

Global Disinformation Lab-GDIL (University of Texas)

The Global Disinformation Lab (GDIL) is actively recruiting undergraduate and graduate researchers for all 8 of its student-driven research projects.

  • We are looking for students who are able to commit to on-going and new research projects at UT. No prerequisites required!
  • GDIL meetings are at 2:30pm on Fridays. We ask for a ~10-hour commitment from our student researchers.

Digital Scholar Fellowship (Consortium on Forced Migration)

The Consortium on Forced Migration, Displacement, and Education (CFMDE) announces a call for applications for a Digital Scholar Fellowship. CFMDE is interested in hosting scholars with refugee or displaced backgrounds to participate in a virtual “residency” program during the 2022-23 academic year. Digital Scholars will give a series of guest lectures in Vassar classes and for a wider public (partial fellowship) or co-teach a class with a Vassar faculty partner (full fellowship). This initiative is being piloted in collaboration with the Institute for International Education, which is helping to facilitate connections to scholars. We are also seeking to connect with scholars outside of the IIE network.
