The ID Center provides proximity-enabled ID cards for students, faculty, staff, official visitors and university affiliates as required. The ID Center also upgrades UT EIDs for eligible individuals to allow full access to online services.
No Appointment Necessary
You are required to present a valid form of ID to acquire a UT ID Card or receive an EID upgrade. Please see “Valid Forms of Identification for ID Cards and EID Upgrades” for a list of acceptable forms of ID.
To verify whether your EID has already been upgraded, visit the EID Self-Help Tools and select “Upgrade my EID”.
If you will NOT be on campus (and therefore will not need a UT ID Card), please verify whether your EID has already been upgraded. If it hasn’t, you may submit a request online and an ID Center representative will contact you to schedule a video call appointment and obtain your signature on the EID Agreement form using DocuSign.
