Research Study On Online Tools For Heart Failure Self-care

This study seeks to know if new digital health tools can support healthy behavior changes among adults with heart failure.

Interested participants must be adults aged 45 years old or older who have been diagnosed with heart failure. They must be willing to comply with all the necessary requirements of this virtual study for approximately 24 weeks.

Why Participate?

You will have access to tools that may improve your knowledge of heart failure self-care.

You may help others who are also diagnosed with heart failure by contributing valuable information.

You will receive $50 in gift cards for participating in this study.

You will be helping to advance medical research.

Who can Participate?

Adults aged 45 years old and older who have been diagnosed with heart failure.

Must have been hospitalized for heart failure-related reasons in the past 12 months.

Must be able to walk without using a cane or a walker.

Willing to comply with the following study requirements for approximately 24 weeks:

Complete questionnaires and surveys.

Use a digital tool to record and monitor your physical activity and weight for 24 weeks.

Dr. Kavita Radhakrishnan received her PhD in Nursing Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She holds a Master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Electronics and Electrical Engineering. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania New Courtland Center for Transitions and Aging.
