improve education?

Creating Change With Youth

at the Secondary Level

WHO: UT Austin’s Drama for Schools and Planet Texas 2050, and the Ann Richards School

WHAT: Students, teachers, administrators, partner with university faculty and students to co-design, facilitate and research new lessons that use the arts to explore climate/environmental resilience using local data and equity frameworks.

WHY: To prompt self-expression and reflection about positive connections to the natural world; to spark and mediate dialogue about the ways that climate change is not just an environmental issue, but a complex challenge with social, economic and personal implications; and, to use these discoveries to imagine and enact new possibilities to create change in our own lives, at school, and in our local community.

WHEN: June 2024-May 2025
