ITS is happy to announce the immediate availability of UT Drupal Kit 2.28.0, the latest maintenance release for our University distribution of the Drupal web content management system. This release includes an update to Drupal core, a number of contributed module updates, and an update to the latest version of the SimpleSAMLphp library.
Drupal Core update
The 2.28 release incorporates the most recent release of Drupal Core, bringing it from 7.78 up to the latest version (7.79).
Contributed module updates
The following contributed modules are updated in this release.
- ctools: from 7.x-1.17 to 7.x-1.19
- date: from 7.x-2.10 to 7.x-2.11
- field_collection: from 7.x-1.1 to 7.x-1.2
- media_youtube: from 7.x-3.9 to 7.x-3.10
- redirect: from 7.x-1.0-rc3 to 7.x-1.0-rc4
- token: from 7.x-1.7 to 7.x-1.8
SimpleSAMLphp library update
For sites using the Pantheon custom upstream version of the UT Drupal Kit, this release includes an update to the latest version of the SimpleSAMLphp library, which enables UT EID authentication.

Pantheon site dashboards that use the UT Drupal Kit distribution should see the upstream updates available now; see the Pantheon documentation for more information on applying upstream updates.
Please review the changelog thoroughly, and always make backups of your code, files, and database before proceeding with an update!
Next releases
The 2.x (Drupal 7) branch of the UT Drupal Kit is updated on a bi-monthly maintenance release schedule, with releases targeted for the second Tuesday of even-numbered months.
