Join the Research Team Are you curious about how bilingualism shapes development? Want to get involved in meaningful research with flexible hours and no prior experience required? We’re currently looking for English- and Spanish-speaking research assistants to join the Project DUAL team! We’re not collecting new data right now, but we’re busy behind the scenes! Here’s what we’re currently working on: Preparing for the next wave of data collection Analyzing previously collected data Refining bilingual study materials Testing participant cognitive tasks Supporting essential administrative tasks that keep the project going As a Research Assistant, you may be involved in: Preparing for future participant outreach Transcribing Spanish participant interviews Coordinating email confirmations Organizing scheduled trainings Participating in team meetings You’ll get a real look at the inner workings of a research lab, even without interacting directly with participants (yet!). Perks of Being a Research Assistant: Flexible hours – Build a schedule that works for you Looks great on applications – For grad school, med school, law school, and more Transferable skills – Especially useful if you plan to join other research labs later Supportive environment – All Research Assistants taking the course will have a mentor throughout the semester to help them Course Credit Options Students can receive course credit for their work on Project DUAL: HDFS majors can use this to fulfill the practicum requirement Psychology majors can count this as upper-division elective credit ULN and BDP students can fulfill requirement All other majors can use HDF 359 for upper-division credit Why Join?
