Edit text areas on the homepage (Option 1)

  1. Go to Appearance → Widgets
  2. In the right column, go to Home-Middle-1 → Genesis-Featured Page.
    1. There are three entries here. Open the widget to see which page it currently points to
  3. Change the heading that appears on the homepage in the Title field.
  4. Change where the text excerpt comes from in the Page drop down menu.
  5. Choose to show a thumbnail image by clicking the Show Featured Image box (not required).
    1. Image size should be set to thumbnail (150×150)
    2. Image alignment set to Left
  6. Show Page Content box should be checked
    1. Set a Content Character Limit (recommended between 400-600)
    2. More Text field should have the text “Read More”
  7. Click Save
