Born and raised in Dallas, Medora enjoys deep ties to UT Austin. She attended the university before completing her Bachelor of Arts in English at UT Permian Basin in 1993. She married UT graduate Robert Raymond Beecherl, and five of their seven children are either currently enrolled or have earned degrees from UT in Finance, Economics, Spanish, and Human Dimensions in Organizations. A collector of contemporary Texan artists, Medora’s private collection includes pieces by Rick Lowe, Gael Stack, James Turrell, Pat Colville, Joseph Havel, Terrell James, Matt Kleberg, Linda Ridgway, Liz Ward, and more.
A retired music educator, Nan is a nationally recognized Musikgarten early childhood music program teacher and certified Orff and Kodaly instructor. She received her BA in Music from UT Austin, completed a Kindergarten Endorsement at Corpus Christi State University, and pursued master’s courses at Corpus Christi State University, A & M Kingsville, Texas State University, and Boston University. With over 42 years of professional experience, she has taught for several colleges, universities, and public/private schools. She has served as Assistant Director for the Cherub Choir at Corpus Christi Cathedral and the Cherub Choir for Symphony Viva of San Antonio. In 2019, she started a Children’s Choir through the Corpus Christi Chorale, a group she sang with for 40 years as a first soprano and soloist. Nan and her husband, Allen, moved to New Braunfels in 2021, where she is a member of the New Braunfels Community Chorus and New Braunfels Music Study Club.
Born in New York City, Marvin earned his BBA and MBA from the University of Miami. He was a partner with Arthur Anderson & Co. from 1965 to 1977, the Chief Operating Officer of Vinson & Ekins from 1977 to 1989, and the Executive Director of Patterson, Belknap, Webb, and Tyler from 1989 until his retirement in 2008. Marvin has volunteered for Alzheimer’s Respite and is active on the boards of Conspirare, the Jewish Foundation of Austin and Central Texas, and the Austin Symphony Orchestra, where he is currently the executive vice president.
Born in Houston, Sara is an Austin-based artist who has lived and worked in the San Francisco Bay area for 25 years. She has been featured in solo exhibitions nationally and internationally at galleries such as De Boer, Nancy Littlejohn Fine Art, Texas Edward Cella Art + Architecture, Di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art, Octavia, Graystone, Monterey Museum of Art La Miranda, Aureus Contemporary, and at numerous art fairs, including Scope International Art Fair in Basel, Switzerland, and Art Southampton (NY). Sara began her undergraduate studies at UT Austin in 1979, and after moving to San Francisco to pursue art, she earned a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1994.
Kate has always bridged the worlds of art and business. She began her professional career as a gallery assistant for Alexander Gray Associates, a contemporary art gallery and advising firm focused on mid-career artists emerging in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Kate is now Vice President of Strategy & Operations for Flock Safety in Atlanta. She earned a BA in Art History from UT Austin and an MBA with a dual concentration in Finance and Social Enterprise from UT’s McCombs School of Business. Kate serves on the investment committee for the venture fund Sidekick Partners. She is a member of Chief, a private membership network focused on supporting women executive leaders, and Stewards of the Wild, a young professionals organization supporting the Texas Parks & Wildlife Foundation. She is also active in Cliburn 180, a young professional organization that supports the Van Cliburn Competition.
Ariel is an award-winning artist who serves as director of Love Texas Art Foundation and as art consultant and curator at One Eleven Art Consulting. Her work has been commissioned by the Texas Rangers, TCU football program, Visit Fort Worth, and numerous private collectors. Ariel’s paintings have also been featured in solo exhibitions at the Basement Lounge and the Holland Collective in Fort Worth, the Dora Lee Landon Center in Granbury, and UT Austin’s Flood Gallery. Ariel’s work has also been featured widely across Texas in group exhibitions, including Affirmations at Gallery 440 in Fort Worth, Presence at The MAC in Dallas, and Red at the Arlington Museum of Art.
Elizabeth co-founded and is co-owner of iOFFICE, a cloud-based workspace management platform. She sold the business in 2018 after establishing a robust inbound marketing program and leading the brand through significant expansion, retiring from her role as CMO in 2019. She is an active member of The Garden Club of Houston, an ambassador with the Speaker’s Bureau for Kids Meals, and serves in a support role for the Eyes On Me president’s leadership class. Elizabeth is also a member of The Houston Museum of Fine Arts and is a frequent visitor.
Elizabeth is chair of Locke Lord’s Environmental Section for Real Estate and Corporate, Managing Partner of the firm’s Dallas office, and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. She is a nationally recognized attorney with extensive experience resolving contaminated sites for beneficial reuse, brownfield redevelopment, and environmental compliance. She was recognized as Lawyer of the Year in Environmental Law in the 2022 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. Elizabeth has been honored on numerous occasions for her pro bono work in the community, including being named “Outstanding Law Firm Pro Bono Coordinator” by the Dallas Bar Association. As part of her pro bono efforts, she has served on the Texas Supreme Court Task Force to Expand Legal Service Delivery to the Poor and is past chair of the Board of Directors of Texas Appleseed.
Patty grew up in Peru and Venezuela and moved to Dallas in 1979. She earned her Architecture degree at UT Arlington. At HKS, a large commercial and institutional architecture firm, she specialized in healthcare design for the University of North Carolina Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Chapel Hill and Brooke Army Medical Hospital in San Antonio. Patty left her full-time position and established a residential design and project management practice. Some of her most notable projects include Casa Papelillos in Punta de Mita, Mexico and her Lake Texoma retreat, Rio Rojo Fish Camp, The former was featured in the October 2006 issue of Architectural Digest, and the latter was published in the July-August 2010 issue of D Magazine. She is also the founder of Alma Soul Imports, LLC, a company dedicated to creating women’s clothing and accessories utilizing native arts and crafts from Peru. Patty has served as a board member and officer of numerous community and charitable organizations in Dallas.
Melanie has been a nurse practitioner for 17 years at Urogynecology of San Antonio, with a main focus on women’s health and a minor focus on primary care. She was previously a registered nurse at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, earning her BS and MS in Nursing there. She graduated from UT Austin with a BA in Child Development in 1995. Melanie has been a member of the UT Austin College of Fine Arts Parents Council, the Landa Gardens Conservancy, the Battle of Flowers Association, the Texas Biomedical Forum, and the Children’s Ballet of San Antonio Parents Council. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of San Antonio, a Texas Exes Life Member, and a member of the Texas Nurses Association since 1998.
