2026 Conference

About the Workshop:

The finite element rodeo conferences are a series of annual meetings between several universities in Texas and Louisiana. The annual conference brings together researchers and students interested in the implementation and theory of the general class of finite element methods for various applications.

The FE Rodeo is a low key, informal conference with an emphasis on new technical aspects of Finite Elements, including mathematical theory, implementation aspects, new innovative ideas, solvers, computational geometry, mesh generation, graphics, novel applications, etc.

Any participant may volunteer to give a presentation. The time of each presentation is the available time divided by the number of talks, and each time slot is VERY strictly enforced. Depending on the number of talks, the presentation time at a typical FE Rodeo varies from 10 to 20 minutes. Each speaker must be prepared to discuss their research in the allotted presentation time, no matter what it ends up being!

  • The 2026 Finite Element Rodeo will be held on the University of Texas at Austin campus on Friday February 27, 2026-Saturday, February 28, 2026.
