Yesterday’s screening featured Go Trabi Go, a road-trip comedy following the Struutz family’s journey from Bitterfeld (Saxony-Anhalt) to Naples in their beloved Trabant “Schorsch.” The films blends East German idealism with classical Bildung and post-Wall wanderlust and turns Goethe’s cultural pilgrimage into a late-20th-century Trabi adventure.

Yesterday we screened Good Bye, Lenin! and had a fantastic turnout! Students from the Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies (CREEES) joined us too. Everybody enjoyed this classic mix of humor, history, and drama.
