- Shaohui Liu (Fall 2019 – present): Shaohui received B.Sc. in applied mathematics with honor from Sichuan University in 2017. Before joining UT, Shaohui spent 2 years as a PhD student in Stony Brook University and got his master’s degree in Computational Applied Math. Shaohui did 3 internships with Los Alamos National Lab, Argonne National Lab, and Amazon AWS during the past summers. His current research topics include mathematical modeling, optimization, and learning for electric power grids and general networked systems.

- Pablo Paz Salazar (Fall 2021 – present): visiting student from University of Sao Paulo (USP), Brazil: Pablo received the B.S. degree in electromechanical engineering from Autonomous University Gabriel René Moreno, Bolivia, in 2008, and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, in 2018, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering. From September 2021 to present is a visiting research scholar at the University of Texas at Austin. His research interests include machine learning applied to smart grids, renewable energy and voltage stability.
