CHOICES-TEEN is a project funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse with the goal of developing efficient and opportunistic interventions that reduce the risk of substance-exposed pregnancy (SEP) and HIV/sexually transmitted infection (STI) for justice-involved female youth. This study aims to test the efficacy of CHOICES-TEEN (CT), a preventative intervention centered around the use of Motivational Interviewing (MI), for reducing the risks of SEP and HIV/STI in young women involved in community probation or diversion programs. This initiative will use the CT intervention to effectively reduce alcohol use, increase marijuana cessation, reduce pregnancy risk, and increase condom use in high-risk, underserved adolescent populations.
